Originally from Adelaide, I began taking photos at eleven, First with my family’s plastic film camera, then with my father’s beautiful Pentax ME. These days, I can be found with a Canon 5D around my neck.
Discovering the works of Nan Goldin lead me to art school, where
the images were conceptual, we shot on film and smelt of fixing chemicals. After living abroad for some years, I returned to study at the beginning of the digital takeover. I began shooting for purposes other than purely expression, but started to bring a stronger sense of design to my images. Further studies in commercial photography gave me a full spectrum of skills: shooting to client briefs, lugging around Bowens and learning that post-production required a great playlist all prepared me for life in the real photographic world.
I have had the
honour of being taught by some incredible and inspiring photographers including Heather Young, Sam Oster, Nat Thompson, Ken Binns and Mr. Gavin Blake.

Any excuse to photograph will do, but having a good reason is even better. I have been fortunate to lend my photographic skills to health organisation ACSA, The Art, lives and Volutneers project, and the Feast Festival.

I shoot fashion, music, architecture, weddings, family portraits, corporate portraits and most anything else.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any queries or photographic propositions.

Linda Hampton.
